Johnson County Public Health has confirmed the state’s third measles case of the season.

A department news release indicates an unvaccinated child living in Johnson County was exposed during international travel. During the child’s infectious period, they visited the Coralville Costco between 11:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. on June 4th, the Iowa City Walmart between 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. on June 4th, and Marshall’s in Coralville between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on June 5th.

Johnson County Public Health warns that anyone present at any of the three locations on the listed dates and times may have been exposed to measles.

If you think you have been exposed to a measles case and have symptoms, call your medical provider or the nearest emergency room ahead of time and tell them that you have been exposed to measles and have symptoms before arriving.
