A Tiffin man faces prison time after a search warrant of his residence allegedly turned up a firearm and marijuana.
The warrant was executed the evening of April 7th. 29-year-old Maurice Bullock of Calla Lily Way was present for the search, which allegedly turned up a Glock 27 .40 caliber handgun in his basement. Due to two previous convictions on felony charges, he was ineligible to possess such a weapon. Police say the weapon was reported stolen three days earlier and trafficked by several individuals before it was recovered at Bullock’s home.
Upon further search, over 130 grams of marijuana, packaging and a digital scale were found in the basement. Bullock’s cellphone was seized, and a warrant to search the phone was granted. Police reportedly found messages showing that Bullock was heavily engaged in the sale of marijuana.
He was charged with one count each of Dominion or Control of a Firearm as a Felon, 1st offense Trafficking in Stolen Weapons, a felony Controlled Substance violation, Failure to Affix Drug Stamp, and Keeping Premises for Controlled Substances. If convicted on all charges, Bullock could be sentenced to up to 22 years in prison.
