An Iowa City man was arrested last week after it was discovered he failed to comply with his sex offender registration requirements.
25-year-old Luis Paba-Juliao of Petsel Place is required to register his social media accounts and vehicle information with the county after being convicted of enticement of a minor. He was stopped for a traffic violation on Lower Muscatine Road last Thursday afternoon and it was discovered that he had a number of social media accounts on his phone that weren’t registered with the Sheriff’s office.
Paba-Juliao was driving a maroon 2011 Chevrolet that he said he purchased on May 31st; he had not reported the purchase to the county.
He faces two counts of Sex Offender Violation and could be sentenced to up to four years in prison if convicted.
