The Muscatine Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance concerning a shooting that occurred in Muscatine at around 4 a.m. Saturday morning.
The exact location of the shooting is unknown but believed to be in the area of the Parham Street and Cedar Street intersection. Investigators say the shooting appears to be connected to an attempted armed robbery where a 27-year-old man was shot. After being shot, the man drove himself to the 500 block of Cedar Street, where he was treated by medical personnel from the Muscatine Fire Department. The man was transported to Unity Point Hospital in Muscatine where he was conscious but in serious condition.
