The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office has arrested an Iowa City man they say possessed child pornography.
47-year-old Roland Boshnack was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 6:00 Friday night. Deputies conducted an online investigation that led to devices being seized from Boshnack’s Brown Street apartment on August 28th of last year. Investigators say those devices contained media depicting minors engaged in sex acts. Some of the minors have been identified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Boshnack is now charged with five counts of Possession of the Depiction of a Minor Involved in a Sex Act. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 25 years in prison.
