New North Liberty Community Pantry news release

North Liberty, IA – The North Liberty Community Pantry will open for service at a new
location, 350 W Penn St, North Liberty, IA 52317, on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 9:30am.

The North Liberty Community Pantry (NLCP), a nonprofit dedicated to fighting food
insecurity, is excited to announce the opening of our new facility at 350 W Penn St, North
Liberty, IA 52317 to our neighbors on June 23, 2025 at 9:30am.

“We have seen unprecedented growth from neighbors needing assistance with food,
clothing, and connections to other resources and services. Compared with 2021, we are
on pace to provide 3 times the amount of food and clothing to 3 times as many people,”
said Ryan Bobst, Executive Director of NLCP. Bobst continued, “We are Planting New
Roots to meet the growing needs of our neighbors today and in the future. The new facility
will shift challenges we face today into strengths we will lean on tomorrow.”

The new location includes:

• A new 10,500-square-foot facility, allowing more food donations to be accepted

• Private meeting space for neighbors with needs beyond food and clothing

• Food and clothing distribution under the same roof

“I am so fortunate to be part of a nonprofit organization that cares so passionately about
their neighbors, and I’m thrilled to have the support of the community to help us carry out
the mission of caring for those neighbors by partnering with us to open this much needed
new facility,” said Sam Fordyce, Board Chair of NLCP. Sam continued, “I want to express
my heartfelt gratitude for everyone who has been involved in the planning, fundraising,
funding, and execution of this project. I especially want to recognize Ryan Bobst’s efforts.
He joined the NLC Pantry when we were exploring the possibility of a new building and
jumped in with both feet and led the charge. We would not be where we are today without
Ryan.”
