A Tiffin man stopped for speeding Tuesday night faces felony drug and weapon charges.

44-year-old Joshua Burkholder of Deer View Drive was stopped for speeding near the intersection of Highway 1 and Mormon Trek Boulevard just before 11pm.  The vehicle was also stopped due to the registered owner having a suspended license.

A probable cause search was performed on the vehicle, and a bag containing over 50 grams of marijuana, multiple small plastic baggies, a scale, and a box containing bottles of THC syrup.  Burkholder, a convicted felon, was also reportedly carrying a knife with a blade in excess of five inches.

He was charged with a controlled substance violation, failure to affix drug stamp, possession of drug paraphernalia, and person ineligible to carry dangerous weapons. If convicted on all counts, Burkholder could be sentenced to over 8 years in prison.
