Another former Hawkeye basketball player has signed with the Sacramento Kings.
Patrick McCaffery has agreed to a free agent contract with the franchise, whose roster currently features another University of Iowa product, Keegan Murray.
McCaffery transferred from Iowa to Butler before last season. The 6-foot-9 forward and former West High star averaged 11.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists with the Bulldogs.
McCaffery becomes the second former Iowa player to sign a free-agent NBA contract in the last few days. Payton Sandfort agreed to a deal with NBA Champion Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday.
NBA Summer League play begins on July 5th.
