An Iowa City man was charged with attempted burglary after allegedly being found going through a vehicle at the University of Iowa Healthcare main campus.
54-year-old Daniel Marsh of the Hilltop Mobile Home Community on Waterfront Drive was found at the emergency department parking lot, rummaging through a vehicle at approximately 12:45 Tuesday. When confronted by police, Marsh claimed that he knew the owner and that he was just trying to find a lighter. The owner was contacted and told officers that he did not know Marsh.
Marsh could spend up to a year in jail if convicted on the Attempted Burglary charge.
