An Iowa City man was arrested Wednesday night after allegedly assaulting the victim of a no-contact order.

At approximately 9pm, 34-year-old Marquise Foster of Gilbert Court entered the Town and Campus Apartments residence of the victim. He then reportedly punched the wall and grabbed the woman by the shirt, yanking her in various directions.

A friend of the woman was at the residence, and Foster allegedly punched her several times and pulled her hair.  She complained of pain to her head from the punches and the hair-pulling.

Foster was taken into custody and charged with Assault against the Subject of a No-Contact Order, Assault causing Bodily Injury, and violation of the No Contact Order. He could be sentenced to up to over six years in prison if convicted on all charges.
