The City of Lone Tree has lifted a boil order that was issued earlier this week.
The boil order went into effect on Tuesday due to storage tank maintenance.
It was lifted on Friday as testing determined the current water running through the system was safe to consume.
Lone Tree officials are now encouraging residents to sign up for a free alert system provided by Johnson County Emergency Management that would include notifications for such events as boil orders and snow emergencies. A link to the signup page can be found here.
