A rural Iowa City woman is accused of trying to run her husband over with construction equipment on the couple’s farm.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s office was called to McGrew Family Farms on Taft Avenue just before 10:15 Friday night after a man claimed his wife was trying to run him over with their skid loader. Deputies arrived to find the suspect, 51-year-old Sarah McGrew, in an agitated state. She allegedly did not deny the skid loader incident, and she was arrested and charged with Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon and Domestic Abuse Assault -2nd Offense. If convicted on both counts, she faces a maximum of seven years in prison.
