A Coralville man who allegedly hit a cyclist with her car was charged with OWI last week.
Police say the incident occurred Thursday at approximately 4:10pm. 24-year-old Kaleb Moore of 5th Avenue Place was reportedly observed by a witness driving into a ditch in a red Mustang. He then allegedly struck a man riding his bicycle through a crosswalk.
When police arrived, they reportedly observed Moore with bloodshot watery eyes and impaired balance. He showed measurable signs of impairment on field sobriety tests, and refused PBT and Datamaster testing.
Police also noted the Moore had several mini-bottles of alcohol on his person at the time of his arrest.
He was charged with first offense OWI, a serious misdemeanor.
