The 55-year-old Texas man arrested for allegedly stalking Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has reached a plea deal with prosecutors and will face jail time.
Michael Lewis of Denton Texas pleaded guilty Monday to one count each of felony stalking and misdemeanor harassment. Additionally, he was ordered to stay away from Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Hinkle Fieldhouse, Fever events and Indiana Pacers organization events, as well as to have no contact with Clark. He will not be allowed internet access during his sentence, and was recommended to get mental health treatment.
Lewis was arrested in January after authorities say he reportedly sent hundreds of threats and sexually explicit messages to Clark in a one-month period.
During his day in court Monday, Lewis prophesized about the coming end of the world.
He was sentenced to 2 ½ years in prison with credit for time served.
