Alliant Energy and the Alliant Energy Foundation have awarded over $530,000 to various causes and nonprofits across Iowa and Wisconsin, including several in the Iowa City area.
- The largest local grant went to the Hoover Presidential Foundation, which was gifted $50,000 for what is described as “Hoover Experience Programming”.
- The Iowa Children’s Museum in Coralville was the beneficiary of a $2,500 grant to help fund a summer camp.
- Oxford Fire and Rescue procured $1,000 for a Fire Extinguisher Simulator.
- And the Friends of Historic Downtown West Branch received $500 for its summer kickoff.
