An Iowa City man was arrested after allegedly stealing a TV from the entry way of a downtown student housing building.
The incident occurred July 13th at the Nest Iowa City on East College Street. That evening, 31-year-old Terron Petersen of Broadway Street allegedly took a 50 inch TV that had just been delivered from Walmart.
Police say Petersen then took the TV to his home and put it in his bedroom. The item was valued at $350.
Petersen has two previous theft convictions, in March and June of last year. He was charged with 3rd degree theft, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a jail sentence of up to two years if convicted.
