A Marshall County man is accused of assaulting and injuring his father in Iowa City.
37-year-old Jimmy Guevara and his father live together in Marshalltown. Iowa City Police say the two were at the Quarters on Highway 6 East just after 8:00 Friday night when Guevara pushed his father down and dragged him, causing his shoulder to dislocate. The father also suffered an open wound on his shin and hit his head when he was pushed.
Guevara is charged with Domestic Abuse Assault – 2nd Offense. If convicted, he faces a maximum of two years in jail.
