The City of Iowa City encourages all community members to register for Alert Iowa – the state’s official emergency notification system. Local officials are able to use Alert Iowa to share important and timely emergency and public safety messages, such as weather alerts.
Community members can sign up for Alert Iowa through text opt-in, an online opt-in page, or by downloading the Smart911 app.
