A new plea hearing has been set for a Hills man facing charges that he inappropriately touched minors over the course of over six years, indicating he may have reached a plea deal.

44-year-old Cesar Santos Adame is accused of groping girls inside of his Main Street residence between May of 2016 and September of 2022.  Alleged victims range in age from under 12 years old to 15 years of age. There is no indication of how many victims were involved, or if multiple charges apply for the same victims.

Santos Adame was booked into the Johnson County Jail in March and charged with three counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse and one count each of 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse and Indecent Contact with a Child. If convicted on all charges, he would have faced a maximum of 87 years in prison.

Santos Adame entered a not guilty plea in April. But on Friday, Judge David Cox set a new plea hearing for September 19th. And online court records now list the only charges against Santos Adame as two counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse and one of 3rd Degree Sexual Abuse. Those charges carry a maximum total sentence of 60 years in prison.
