Former Louisa County man accused in decade-old sexual abuse case

A former Louisa County man has been charged in connection with a decade-old sexual abuse case.

According to a news release from the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office, on April 25th dispatchers received a report of a sexual assault of a juvenile female that occurred more than ten years ago in Louisa County.

After a five-month long investigation, 29-year-old Jonathon Thomas Ruth was arrested on September 2nd at his current residence in Mustang, Oklahoma by the Mustang Police Department. He’s now charged with 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse, Indecent Contact with Child, and two counts of Lascivious Acts with a Child.

Ruth was eighteen years old at the time of the offense. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 47 years in prison.
