Multiple agencies responded to a structure fire in southwest Johnson County Saturday morning.
Dispatch records show the fire departments from Kalona, Riverside, Wellman, and Hills, as well as the Johnson County Ambulance Service and the Johnson County Sheriff’s office, all responded to 1860 500th Street…just west of Frytown…just before 8:30 a.m. Firefighters arrived to find a fully-engulfed building.
Various crews were dismissed from the scene throughout the morning, and command was officially terminated just before 11 a.m.
No other details, including a damage estimate, have been released.
