A North Liberty man is accused of threatening the mother of his children with a firearm.
Iowa City Police say just after 11:30 Friday night 42-year-old Antwan Jackson of Eight Point Trail was involved in a physical altercation on Shady Glen Court. A 9-1-1 caller stated Jackson had a gun. Another witness reported seeing him punching a woman in the head multiple times.
The alleged victim told police Jackson pulled out a gun, pointed it into the air, and stated, “I will kill you and your kids.”
Investigators say Jackson admitted to owning guns, but claimed he did not have one at the time of the incident.
Jackson is now charged with Domestic Abuse Assault While Displaying a Weapon and 1st Degree Harassment. If convicted on both counts, he faces a maximum of four years in jail.
