A coffee shop in Iowa City’s Northside Neighborhood has obtained a liquor license, adding to the small list of bar options in the area.
Representatives for Midnight Coffee at the corner of Linn and Market Streets told The Daily Iowan they plan to serve beer and wine in the immediate future, with long-term plans including mixed drinks.
The Northside Neighborhood has fewer bar options than downtown Iowa City, with only George’s Buffet and Dave’s Fox Head Tavern nearby. However, Midnight Coffee has no plans to stay open past its usual closing time of 8 p.m.
