The Iowa Mission of Mercy will be hosting a free Dental Clinic at the Hyatt Regency on the Iowa River Landing in Coralville this weekend.
The two-day event, which will be held Friday and Saturday, will transform the hotel’s exhibit hall into a full-scale, field dental clinic with 100 fully operational dental stations, plus triage areas, x-ray facilities, a pharmacy, and more.
Iowa Mission of Mercy expects to provide approximately 1,000 patients with free dental care, including cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canals, and a limited number of partial dentures. The clinic relies on the volunteer labor of hundreds of dental professionals and general volunteers from across the state.
The organization goes to a different city in Iowa each year, and this is the first time it will be in the Coralville/Iowa City area. More information is available at iowamom.org.
