One person was injured in a car vs. buggy accident near Kalona Friday morning.
Washington County dispatch records indicate Kalona first responders and the Johnson County Ambulance Service responded to the reported accident scene west of the Cosgrove Road and Johnson Washington Road intersection in Johnson County just before 7:30 a.m. One person was reportedly unconscious.
Arriving units discovered the accident scene was actually on nearby Larch Avenue in Washington County. The driver of the car was identified as Brennan Petersheim of Kalona, while Erma Mast of Kalona was determined to be the driver of the buggy.
Washington County authorities say charges are pending. Court records show Petersheim was fined last month for speeding in Henry County.
