An Iowa City man who was wanted for missing a court date last week was arrested and additionally charged with a separate incident.
Police say 32-year-old Michael Preslicka of Wayne Avenue was near the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Taylor Drive just past 4:45 on the morning of April 27th when officers allegedly observed him in possession of a sword with a blade measuring approximately 28 inches concealed on the back of his jacket. He skipped a case management conference on September 15th and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
