A Waterloo woman faces prison time after four different alleged assaults at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Police reports indicated 45-year-old Micah Broell assaulted a health care provider at the UIHC on August 20th , grabbing the victim by the hair and pulling her to the floor. On the 22nd of the same month, she allegedly struck another health care provider in the head with a closed fist while she was a patient.
Broell was back at the UIHC on September 22nd and struck another victim in the face, and allegedly said that she wanted to go to jail. Another victim was assaulted on the 23rd, with Broell striking a health care provider in the face. The victim backed away and raised her hands in defense, but Broell reportedly struck her in the arm.
She has been charged with a count of Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations, two counts of Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations causing Bodily Injury, and Assault with Intent to cause Injury. Broell could be sentenced to up to over 12 years in prison if convicted on all charges.
