A University of Iowa student has been arrested after allegedly urinating on Van Allen Hall early this morning.
The student was observed committing the act just after 1:45am and was located shortly after. He reportedly had the odor of ingested alcohol, bloodshot watery eyes and slurred speech. A post-arrest PBT for Public Intoxication found his breath-alcohol level at .100 percent.
A search incident to arrest allegedly turned up a fictitious ID showing the 19 year old to be of legal drinking age, and a THC vape pen, the contents of which the student reportedly admitted he got from Illinois.
He now faces the Public Intoxication charge, as well as one count each of Possession of a Fictitious ID, a Controlled Substance violation, and Public Urination. If convicted on all counts, the student could face up to 25 months in jail.
