First ESPN Women’s Bracketology has Iowa as #5 NCAA Tournament seed

ESPN has released its first Women’s Bracketology for the upcoming season, and the early predictions have Iowa returning to the Big Dance.

The pre-season projection has the Hawkeyes as a #5 seed paying Belmont in Louisville, with the host Cardinals the #4 seed. The winner of that potential matchup would then face top-seeded UConn in Fort Worth, Texas.

The pre-season women’s Bracketology includes 18 different Hawkeye opponents this season.

The Hawkeyes begin the season hosting Ashland in an exhibition game on Thursday, October 30^th at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
