An Indiana man who reportedly lost control of his vehicle and hit a bridge overpass head on has now been charged with OWI.

According to the incident report, 48-year-old David Safstrom of Corydon Indiana was heading westbound on Interstate 80 the afternoon of May 31st 2024 when he hit the overpass at the 233 mile marker.  A witness called 911 and waited for first responders to arrive.
