Iowa men’s basketball player Tavion Banks was arrested for an alleged altercation with staff at Reunion Brewery in downtown Iowa City over the weekend.
Online court documents obtained by CBS2 say Banks was seen in an incident with the staff at around 1:16 a.m. early Sunday morning.
Iowa Athletics issued a statement that said, “The UI Athletics Department and men’s basketball program are aware of Tavion Banks’ citation over the weekend. He is subject to established university protocol regarding the UI Student-Athlete Code of Conduct, and the rules and regulations set for members of the men’s basketball program.”
No other details are currently available.
