Coralville Police have arrested a suspect they say assaulted a co-worker with a knife earlier this month.
27-year-old Deonte Davis of 10th Street Place was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 2:15 Tuesday afternoon. Arrest records indicate Davis brought a kitchen knife to his workplace in the Coral Ridge Mall just after 2:15 on the afternoon of October 1st. Police say one of Davis’ co-workers had been involved in a previous incident with one of Davis’ family members. Davis allegedly attacked the co-worker with the knife, causing several cuts to their hands and ankle.
Davis is now charged with Assault With a Dangerous Weapon. If convicted, he faces a maximum of two years in jail.
