A North Liberty woman was arrested early Thursday morning after an assault on her domestic partner.
Police were at an address on Cherry Court at approximately 4:50am and allegedly observed 26-year-old Brianna Shannon assaulting the victim, causing bodily injury. Officers reported they had to hold her back from continuing the assault.
The two are in a domestic relationship, but a no contact order had been previously issued.
Shannon was charged with Domestic Assault causing Bodily Injury, and violation of a No-Contact order. If convicted, she could face up to a year in jail. An additional no-contact order was requested.
