The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says the suspect in a late Friday night crash on Interstate 80 was so intoxicated he thought it was three days earlier.
Deputies were called to a collision on I-80 eastbound near the Rochester Avenue exit just after 10:15 p.m. The driver of a 2006 Chevy Silverado, 29-year-old Craig Bailey of the Lake Ridge manufactured housing community, reportedly admitted to having at least two beers before driving and showed signs of impairment. Investigators say he also thought it was Tuesday.
Bailey was arrested and charged with Operating While Intoxicated – 2nd Offense.
