Cedar Rapids man accused of stealing power tools from employer

A Cedar Rapids man has been arrested after it was discovered he stole power tools from a construction site in Coralville from his employer.

According to court documents, 40-year-old Randy Holloway of 2nd Street SW was at the site on the Coralville Reservoir October 10th. He allegedly stole several Milwaukee power tools from the construction company he was working for.

Holloway reportedly pawned the stolen tools at a Cedar Rapids pawn shop later that same day. The transaction was captured on video. During a subsequent interview, he allegedly admitted to stealing the tools from the work site and pawning them.

The value of the tools was approximately $900.

Holloway is charged with 3rd degree Theft, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a jail term of up to two years if convicted.
