Iowa City Police seek public’s help in identifying person of interest in assault investigation

The Iowa City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in an assault investigation.

The assault occurred around 12:10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, at 12 S. Dubuque St. As part of the ongoing investigation, police would like to speak with the person pictured here. They were seen the night of the assault wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans, a white hat with a black bill, and a chain necklace.

In addition, anyone in that area with security cameras is asked to review their recordings and contact the Iowa City Police Department with any potential footage or information about this incident.
