Coralville woman accused of threatening partner with knives

A Coralville woman was taken into custody Thursday night after allegedly threatening her live-in partner with a pair of knives.

According to the victim, 26-year-old Debora Kala Mulupepe repeatedly hit him with her hands and blunt objects. She also allegedly ripped his clothing.

Mulpepe then reportedly chased the victim into a room while displaying two kitchen knives, yelling at him to get out

The couple’s child was in the room Mulpepe chased the victim to.

She was charged with Assault with intent to cause Serious Injury and Child Endangerment. If convicted on both counts, Mulpepe could be sentenced to up to four years in prison.
