A Coralville woman was taken into custody after she was reportedly found with several bags of marijuana.

Iowa City Police stopped 27-year-old Trashay Holman of Holiday Court on Southgate Avenue just before 7:30pm Tuesday for not having a front license plate.   Upon contact, the vehicle allegedly had the odor of marijuana, and a probable cause search reportedly turned up multiple zip-lock baggies containing cannabis in a travel bag.

The police report says in the immediate vicinity of the cannabis were a plethora of empty bags similar to the ones holding cannabis.  Also in the travel bag, officers allegedly located several prescription drugs that did not have her name on them.

Holman was read her rights and stated everything in the bag was hers.

She was charged with Marijuana possession, a Controlled Substance violation, possession of Prescription drugs, and Failure to Affix Drug Stamp. If convicted on all counts, Holman faces a prison sentence of up to 12 years.
