Sue Henderson has won the battle of write-in candidates for Hills city council.
Even though two council seats were up for election last week, only one candidate…Emily Hudacheck…submitted the paperwork necessary to be listed on the ballot. That led to the city soliciting applications for write-in candidates, with city officials announcing Henderson and Andrew Blauvelt expressing interest last month.
On Wednesday, the city released the tally of the write-in votes. Henderson defeated Blauvelt 67 votes to 23, with a third write-in candidate…Troy Ballard…receiving 7 votes.
