The City of Oxford has tallied its write-in votes from last week’s election.
Because no candidates filed the necessary paperwork to appear on the ballot, all of the available Oxford city positions, including mayor and three city council seats, had to be determined by write-in votes.
Heather Johnson was elected Oxford mayor, having her name written on 68 of the 83 ballots cast.
Jason Green and Adam Roberts were the write-in winners for full city council terms, although Roberts also tied Kyle Volk with seven votes apiece to fill a partial council term. Roberts has accepted the full term city council seat and Volk has accepted the vacancy seat.
