A Coralville man accused of publicly masturbating inside the University of Iowa Fieldhouse has pleaded guilty to a 3rd Degree Harassment charge.
UI Police say the incident took place in the men’s locker room at the Fieldhouse’s South Grand Avenue gym at around 6:30pm on May 5th of 2024. While in the sauna, 64-year-old Brett Mauk of Russell Slade Boulevard was allegedly observed masturbating in front of two other people. According to one of the witnesses, Mauk started masturbating under a towel, and could be seen stroking his erect penis multiple times. The witness also alleged Mauk smiled and winked at him.
Mauk pleaded guilty to the lesser harassment charge and was fined $105.
