Multiple agencies responded to a field fire that spread to at least one farm building north of Iowa City Wednesday night.
Firefighters from Iowa City, Coralville, Solon, West Branch, North Liberty, and Tiffin responded to a vegetation fire at 3263 Prairie du Chien Road just before 9:30 p.m. Dispatch records show the fire reportedly jumped to a nearby barn and some trash, but it was eventually contained and all but Iowa City and Coralville firefighters were released from the scene.
The controlled fire was allowed to burn overnight while under observation.
