A Belle Plaine man arrested for indecent exposure last month claimed he exposed himself to oncoming traffic to fill an “excitement” void.
Just before 3:30pm October 15th, 30-year-old Danan Ary of 7th Avenue was allegedly witnessed standing against the rear of his vehicle with his pants and underwear lowered to his ankles and his shirt lifted to his chin, casually exposing his genitals and abdomen to oncoming traffic on northbound I380.
Ary reportedly admitted to the behavior and advised that it was done to fulfill an “excitement” that was currently missing in his “blah” life. He also allegedly admitted that his behavior was inappropriate, embarrassing, and unacceptable, as well as offensive to others within view.
Authorities said Ary was involved in a similar incident the day before on Interstate 80 West near Oxford.
He was charged with Indecent Exposure and faces up to a year in jail if convicted.
