Johnson County officials are warning residents to keep an eye out for a misleading mailing that targets veterans.
The “Veteran Savings Program” postcard is being sent around the country, and looks like an official mailing from the government. The postcard is NOT connected to any State of Iowa or U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs program. It comes from a for-profit marketing company trying to get the attention of veterans by looking “official.”
