The Muscatine County Fair announced they’ve received another significant corporate donation as they get ready to open their new Event Center.
In a release from the Fairgrounds office, Corteva has contributed a $5,000 donation to support the development of the new Kent Center Event Space.
Local Pioneer dealers highlighted Corteva’s mission and values, noting that the project strongly aligns with the company’s focus on progress, community investment, and creating opportunities for the next generation.
Muscatine County Fair Manager Kelsey Meyers said significant transformation is already underway on the fairgrounds. The old activity center has been removed, new sidewalks have been poured, and work has begun on the parking lot. The state-of-the-art Kent Center Event Space remains on schedule for its first events in 2026.
The facility is slated to officially open on January 17th, coinciding with the Blue-Ribbon Fundraiser. The event will be held inside the new center, with doors opening at 5 p.m. Tickets are available now for $30 in the fair office or $35 at the door. The evening will include a meal, program, live auction, and live music by Dirt Road Rockers.
Community members or organizations interested in donating to the project or sponsoring a specific area are encouraged to contact Meyers at muscatinecountyfair@gmail.com or 319-627-2414.
