A Williamsburg woman was arrested on OWI charges over the weekend after allegedly being involved in a hit-and-run accident.

Police say 38-year-old Danielle Pasturczak of Willow Drive was involved in the incident Friday evening. Shortly afterwards at 7:27pm, a sheriff’s deputy found her in the ditch at I-80 West exit 237. Upon contact, Pasturczak allegedly had bloodshot watery eyes, slurred speech and smelled of ingested alcohol.

She admitted to having a few drinks before driving. After exhibiting significant signs of impairment on field sobriety tests, she agreed to chemical testing. A Datamaster showed her breath-alcohol level at .247 percent, just over three times the legal limit to drive.

Pasturczak was charged with OWI first offense, a serious misdemeanor.
