A Coralville woman was taken into custody this week on theft warrants this fall.
Police say 52-year-old Keelie Greene of Holiday Road committed three separate thefts at the North Liberty Fareway grocery store. The first allegedly occurred the evening of October 13th, where Greene reportedly was seen on surveillance video taking 5 bottles of Grey Goose vodka and concealing them in a parcel bag. She then left the store without attempting to pay for the merchandise, valued at nearly $150.
Greene was identified by an officer and a still photograph was circulated among North Liberty Police officers.
Greene allegedly visited the store again on November 10th and took a bottle of Patron Silver, Patron Reposado, 1800 Reposado Tequila and Duracell batteries valued at nearly $150.
She came back two days later and was seen on surveillance footage taking seven bottles of alcohol and placing them in an under-arm bag. She reportedly left without paying, and Greene was identified by vehicle registration information from traffic cameras.
Warrants for all three thefts were issued on November 19th; Greene remained at large until Thursday when Coralville Police took her into custody. She has been charged with one count of 3rd degree theft and two counts of 5th degree theft. She could be sentenced to a maximum 26 months in jail if convicted on the charges.
Greene was released on her own recognizance pending arraignment.
