An Iowa City woman was arrested on a warrant stemming from an alleged use of credit cards she found earlier this year.

According to court records, 44-year-old Sylvia Tribble of South Van Buren Street was in a restaurant on Clinton Street the afternoon of October 13th. The victim forgot her wallet in the restroom, and Trimble reportedly found it a few minutes later.

Tribble then allegedly used the credit and debit cards from the wallet to make several purchases throughout Johnson County totaling nearly $1700.

A warrant for Tribble’s arrest was issued on November 18th; she was taken into custody by Coralville Police Thursday and charged with 2nd degree Theft and Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card.  If convicted on both counts, Tribble could be sentenced to up to ten years in prison.

She was released on her own recognizance pending arraignment.
