An Iowa City woman was taken into custody Friday afternoon after allegedly assaulting her ex-boyfriend.
According to the arrest report, 29-year-old Ollenna Bluitt of Oakcrest Road and her live-in ex-boyfriend had been arguing since morning. The argument escalated later in the afternoon, when Bluitt reportedly smacked the hat off the man’s head, causing a physical altercation.
Bluitt allegedly scratched her ex-boyfriend’s face, causing lacerations.
The couple reportedly broke up within the last year.
Bluitt was taken into custody and charged with Domestic Abuse Assault causing Injury, a serious misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail if convicted.
