Cedar Rapids Police are investigating a Saturday night shots fired incident that left one injured.
According to a release from the Department, responders were called just before 10:00p.m. to the 800 block of 6th St SW and located evidence of gunfire and a bullet hole in the front door of a local business. Two groups of individuals had engaged in a verbal altercation and an adult male was struck by return gunfire after he fired at a member of the other group.
He and an adult female were located a short time later. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Names and other details are not being released at this time.
There is an ongoing investigation.
